VOICE AND MOVEMENT WORKSHOP
and CHINA INK
In Auray (56) from February 9 to 11, 2024
co-hosted with Marion Le Pennec
Connecting with nature in
the creative impulse
For what ?
We open this space to become aware of our relationship with the living, with the body, and to live it in a creative way.
Reveal the sensitive being in oneself to let oneself be touched by the elements of a strong and inspiring environment and let them work through our expression.
From our awakened senses, trace and sing with full voice the poetry of life!
Who is this course for?
To you who wish to move closer to a full and authentic expression.
You who wish to connect with nature in a sensitive approach.
Whether you are an artist or simply looking for a spontaneous and inspired quality of being for your daily life, this course will offer you spaces to reconnect with your body and your creativity.
You will find tools to better understand your voice and to explore the technique of Indian ink .
How ?
Breathe
The waves of breath create a perpetual link between outside and inside, between oneself and the world.
Deposit
Sitting, silence becomes a setting for sound, and the void a cocoon for the trace.
Awaken
Taking the time to immerse ourselves in bodily sensations and to allow room for sensitivity leads us to experience a state of presence. We enter into a poetic relationship with the world. Vitality and joy are awakened!
Play
In a group, joyful madness arises when we let our inner child live. The desire to co-create and share takes us beyond our usual limitations.
Communicate
Through our creative expression, we respond to the living: to the ocean, to the tree or to the rock in a drawing or a song.
The practices
Indian ink
We will explore the techniques of Indian ink that we will always approach in the service of our creativity.
Before drawing, it will be a question of presence, bodily availability, and receptivity. Yes, it will above all be a question of opening our gaze and our sensitivity in order to "give way," as C. Singer said.
By creating a poetic relationship with the living, we will encounter the Mystery hidden in all things. For it is with a vibrant heart and loving eyes that we will use drawing as a way of leaving a trace, not of an external subject, but of an internal state.
We will look at the external elements (wind, light, mist, rain, rock, cloud, water, plants, rocks...) as an invitation to manifest on the sheet the loving dance of Spirit and matter.
Indian Ink, for its part, will teach us the art of the moment and of welcoming chance.
Voice and Movement
We will invite the voice as an expression of the being in presence, in its connection to the living, to the elements, to nature.
We will explore it through the instinctive and spontaneous movement of the body, through play, relationships with others and with the group (physical contact while respecting the consent and limits of each person).
We will move towards an awareness of the body-voice connection during warm-ups and vocal exercises,
to move towards a more accurate listening of the voice and open up a wider space for expression.
We will sing songs in simple polyphonies, rhythm games, expression
sung or spoken to move naturally towards group improvisation in a circle.
Outdoor time
We'll connect with the natural elements of this wonderful spot on the Bigouden coast. Please wear clothing suitable for wind, rain, and cold weather during these special moments.
